Product Introduction
Aluminum shot (also known as aluminum granules or aluminum grit) is a metal abrasive product refined from high-purity aluminum ingots through processes such as wire drawing, precision cutting, passivation grinding, etc. Bairentong uses pure aluminum and aluminum-magnesium alloys as raw materials. The product has a bright appearance, uniform particle size, and features low specific gravity, low hardness, and non-damaging properties to the workpiece substrate.
Aluminum shot is suitable for surface treatment of non-ferrous metal castings such as aluminum, zinc, and copper, as well as thin-walled workpieces. After blasting, the workpiece surface is bright, clean, and free of damage marks, achieving an ideal whitening and matte finish. The product is widely used in industries such as automotive parts, precision castings, hardware tools, and medical devices, making it the ideal abrasive choice for treating the surfaces of soft metals and precision workpieces.
Core Advantages of the Product
1. High Purity, No Workpiece Contamination
Bairtong aluminum shot is directly processed from high-purity aluminum ingots, with no other metal components mixed in during the production process, resulting in a pure and stable chemical composition. It is particularly suitable for applications requiring extremely high purity, such as LED semiconductors and electronic evaporation.
2. Low Hardness, No Damage to the Workpiece Substrate
Aluminum shot typically has a hardness of HV35-125. Its gentle nature allows it to remove burrs and oxide scale without damaging the workpiece substrate, maintaining the original dimensional accuracy.
3. Excellent Whitening Effect
The unique feature of aluminum shot is its whitening function. Aluminum castings, copper castings, zinc castings, and other workpieces treated with aluminum shot exhibit a uniform, bright metallic color, achieving a whitening matte effect. Aluminum shot can also be mixed with stainless steel shot in a certain proportion to further enhance the whiteness of the workpiece surface.
4. Lightweight, Low Rebound Loss
The specific gravity of aluminum shot is approximately 2.7 g/cm³, about 1/3 that of steel shot. Lighter weight means:
Less equipment wear: Extended service life of vulnerable parts such as shot blasting machine blades and liners
Low rebound loss: Less kinetic energy loss and higher energy utilization during shot blasting
Low operating noise: Significantly lower impact noise than heavy abrasives
5. Complete specifications and selectable shapes
Baitong aluminum shot offers both cylindrical cut shot and ground round shot, with particle sizes ranging from 0.6mm to 3.0mm and hardness (soft and hard states) to meet the needs of different working conditions.
